Lounge

Located to the upper floor is the modern lounge with comfortable seating, SMART TV, DVD player and at its heart a wood-burning stove for those cosy evenings.

Balcony

From the lounge French doors lead out to the furnished south facing balcony with spectacular views of Lingmoor Fell and the Langdale Pikes in the distance. A Great place for lazy summer brunches or just a cool place to chill out with a drink after those hard days on the fells.

Kitchen

Also on the upper floor is the excellently equipped Shaker kitchen / dining room which also affords fabulous views  over Lingmoor Fell.

Master Bedroom

The romantic  double bedroom with  a wrought iron bed is located on the entrance level and has its own en-suite with luxury power shower. The room also has a SMART TV.

Main Bedroom

Also on the entrance level is the luxury family bathroom which offers both a separate bath and power shower cubicle.

Twin Bedroom

A flight of stairs leads down from the entrance hall to the cosy twin bedroom on the lower level which has its own outdoor access and SMART TV.

Outside

Outside there is a large shed with wall anchor for the secure storage of bikes and other outdoor equipment. There is parking for 1 car directly outside the cottage with further on lane parking close by.

Langdale Leisure Club

The Langdale Leisure Club, part of the award-winning Langdale Estate, is  located within easy walking distance of the Cottage. Fountain Cottage maintains full membership for 2 adults. Fountain guests are also able to sign in additional members of their party on the payment of a small day or evening charge. Children under 3 years benefit from free entry.

This membership ensures that couples and families with children under 3 do not have to pay any additional charges and have free access to the Langdale facilities. For two couples or for couples with older children, all four can attend the Langdale at the same time on the payment of the small daily / evening charge for the third and fourth guest. Alternatively you could decide to attend in two pairs at different times and have no charges to pay.

The Langdale boasts an impressive range of leisure facilities  including a well equipped gymnasium with a newly installed TechnoGym and relaxation facilities are available, including a 20m UV-treated swimming pool complete with massage  seat and whirlpool spa bath, a steam room,  Sanarium®, tropical shower, deluge shower and lounger chairs. In addition with the Cottage’s membership you also benefit from a 10% discount on all of their Bars and Restaurants (including Wainwrights Inn.
